Nana Addo concedes defeats and call for unity and cooperation


The first respondent in the election petition case, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has said their response to the verdict of the election petition in the country has made the whole world watch Ghana with wonder and admiration which will serve as an example for Africa and rest of world to emulate.
He said Ghanaians reaction to this verdict will be watch keenly in Africa and the entire world and will set as a precedent for generations to come.
Nana Akuffo-Addo was speaking at the party headquarters in Accra soon after the pronouncement of the verdict of the election petition case.
According to him, “in Ghana’s 56-year history, this is the first time an election case has been send to the highest court of the land and it has set a tone to strengthen the country’s democracy”.
He called on all Ghanaians to put the issue behind, ease the tension and come together to build a united country for development.
The 2012 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party said this is the time Ghanaians have to come together to find solutions to the myriad of problems that have bedevilled the nation.
To his party the NPP, Nana Addo said they have a lot to be proud of as they still have three years to re-strategize for 2016. He therefore wished President John Mahama well in his leadership.
