Dr. Ken Sagoe, CEO TTH |
The Chief Executive Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital
Doctor Ken Sagoe has handover his tenure of office to Dr. Prosper Akanbong as
acting Chief Executive Officer.
The Tenure of office of the CEO was supposed to elapse on
today despites calls by opinion leaders and the sector ministry to maintain him
on contract basis.
Meanwhile prior to his handing over several groups including
the Concerned Citizens Association of Tamale was on his nerves to resign base
on what they claimed was a gross incompetence and theft at the Tamale Teaching
Hospital.
In a handing over address, Dr. Ken Sagoe said he has retired
compulsorily from public service and as Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital
from 28th September.
He therefore thanked all stakeholders and collaborators in the
hospital for their immense support during his five and half year tenure as the
CEO of the Hospital.
Since assumption of office in 2007, the only referral center
has received several facelifts ranging from infrastructural to personnel.
After his assumption of office as CEO, the hospital had only
23 doctors and has rose to 120 doctors as at the time Fiila News crosschecked
at the hospital records.
Nursing strength has also seen a tremendous increase easing
pressure on health workers in the hospital.
Confidential source close to Fiila News also revealed that the
CEO has grabbed another reputable intuition outside the borders of the country
to man its affairs.
