BUYER THREATENS COURT ACTION OVER NULLIFICATION OF AUCTION CARS IN TAMALE METRO

BUYER THREATENS COURT ACTION OVER NULLIFICATION OF AUCTION CARS IN TAMALE METRO
A man who purchased one of the auctioned vehicles in the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly is threatening legal action if the Assembly goes ahead to nullify the auction process.
Kweku Dua told Journalist that he followed all the due process in procuring the vehicle and will not let it go without a fight.
The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has hinted a nullification of the auction after irate Gbewah NDC youth in the area ruined the process, claiming that the Assembly officials circumvented the process to sell the vehicles to their cronies.
The Gbewah NDC youth subsequently went on rampage and seized two of the vehicles and will only return them if only the Assembly announces a nullification of the entire process.
The security called a crunched meeting with the ring leaders of the protesting Gbewah youth of the NDC for an amicable settlement but the meeting ended up in a stalemate because the youth were not prepared to see the face of the Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alhaji Abdulai Haruna Friday.
The demands of the youth appear to have held sway with the Assembly announcing a nullification of the auction process.
But Kweku Dua explains that he followed the due process in buying the vehicle and will not return it.
He said he has not been given any official notification of a re-auction but will proceed to court if it comes.
