TAMALE MAYOR CLEARS AIR ON AUCTION RUMPUS

TAMALE MAYOR CLEARS AIR ON AUCTION RUMPUS

Controversies related to the seizure of auctioned vehicles by the NDC Gbewaa Youth Association in Tamale continues to generate public discourse with the latest joining the fray being Alhaji Abudulai Harunah Friday, Mayor of Tamale.
Alhaji Friday is appealing to the NDC Gbewaa Youth Association to clear his personality from the controversies surrounding the auction sales of some vehicles of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly.
He disputed allegations leveled against him that he supervised the said auction sale carried out by Alhaji Olando through which he was allegedly allocated a Tipper Truck.
Alhaji Friday explained that the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly’s decision to nullify the auction sale though the assembly followed the procurement law was to allow sanity to prevail in the metropolis for government business to thrive.
He disclosed that some personalities from the NDC under the cover the Gbewaa Youth Association, are masterminding to disrepute his hard won reputation as the Mayor of Tamale even as he works to give Tamale a facelift.
The Tamale Mayor urged NDC youth in Tamale to be wary of what he described as the diabolical acts of desperate power seekers and rally behind him to restore peace and tranquility in the metropolis to achieve the NDC’s Better Ghana Agenda.
He refuted a report by an Accra based radio station that the Gbewaa Youth boycotted a meeting with the Metropolitan Security Committee and concluded that he remained focused as the Mayor of Tamale regardless of the obstacles.
