Security forces show readiness ahead of Supreme Court verdict

Security forces in the northern regional capital embarked on a rout march today, to show their readiness ahead of the Supreme Court’s verdict.

The march which started from the Jubilee Park through the principal streets of Tamale saw participants from the Ghana Armed Forces, the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, Immigration Service, Custom Exercise and Preventive Service, Ghana Prisons Service as well as the Bureau of National Investigations among others in attendance. 

Air Commodore Philip Ayisi, Garrison Commander in Tamale commended all the security forces for showing their readiness to combat for peace at anytime they are being called upon.

He stated that they have put in place task forces who are ever ready to move into any area to stabilize the peace the region is currently enjoying.

He therefore appealed to the general public to assist the security agencies to lead to the arrest of any person who in any form want to destabilize the peace of country.

The media was also encouraged not to allow anyone or group of persons to use their platform to cause chaos concerning the Supreme Court’s verdict.
